Madre: West Hollywood

I had the pleasure of stopping by at Madre’s new restaurant in West Hollywood this past week.

I have already had the opportunity of eating at their Torrance and Palms locations, so I knew this new location would not disappoint. As a native Mexican it’s honestly very difficult to eat at any Mexican restaurant because not all restaurants are able to capture the essence and flavors of Mexican food.

One of the main reasons why I fell in love with Madre at their Torrance location was for their moles, Oaxacan meats and their Mezcal drinks of course.

This time around we opted for their signature moles and decided to go with barbacoa de borrego (lamb meat), steak and French toast. The food was delicious, specially since we paired them with their Kate and el Chapo drink and a margarita. You can never go wrong with a Margarita!

My favorite part of the meal has to be the dessert, their “Mole Negro Ice Cream” was to die for!

Unfortunately, due to new Los Angeles COVID-19 regulations we are no longer able to dine in. Thankfully, Madre is available for takeout!
