Ella Enchanted

As some of you may or may not know my friend Desirée is pregnant and is due in a couple of weeks. This past weekend we all came together to celebrate the arrival of her baby girl, Ella.

And no, this wasn't your typical backyard baby shower, this was a baby shower fit for a little princess. The light pink and gold themed baby shower took place at a penthouse in downtown with a beautiful view of the city. This was the perfect setting for all of us to come together and show our love and support for Desirée and Ella.

Seven months ago Desirée started a new chapter in her life and as a friend it makes me so proud to see how much she has grown not only as a person but most importantly as a mother. Throughout her pregnancy I've seen Desirée give noting but love to Ella and I've seen her do whatever she can to make this a smooth and healthy pregnancy. It makes me so happy to see how much love and support Desirée has not only from my friends and I but also from her family.

Having a child and becoming a parent is one of the most beautiful experiences life can give us. The moment you find out you're having a child is the moment you realize that you no longer have to just worry about yourself. You are now responsible for a new life, a child that for the rest of your life you'll have to do everything in your power to make sure they're okay. It won't be easy, but that's how life works. Nothing in this life is easy and it all has it's ups and downs. Everything you'll do for your child and all the love and support you will offer will be worth it and it'll pay off at the end of the day.
