DO YOU WANT CHANGE? THEN GO VOTE!
We all want change!
The first step to change is voting! You must vote if you want to see change in your country!
The presidential campaigns in 2008 had the highest voting turnout (with a 58.23% voting age population) since 1964 (with a 61.92% voting age population). Regardless of the voting turnout increasing still 4 in 10 Americans eligible to vote stayed home, that’s 25%.
Don’t forget that you’re not only voting for the president, you are also voting on issues that can directly affect you, such as reproductive rights, public school control, and discrimination laws to name a few. Remember, marijuana was legalized in four different states only through ballot initiatives without new state legislation or the help of Congress or the president. More votes equal more representation of the people!
Remember that voting in the primaries is also important. The candidates we get to choose from in the November elections are decided by the votes in the primary elections.
If you are in California and a Bernie supporter you NEED to vote during the primaries on June 7th. You MUST register as a Democrat or "no party preference” and you MUST be registered by May 23rd. If you’re registered as "no party preference" remember to ask for a “democratic ballot” when you go vote.
